MLA stands for Modern Language Association and is a style of formatting for academic papers. This style of formatting is often used in the social sciences, such as in the fields of political science, English, and law.

Here are some things to remember when creating your Work Cited page.

  • Always start your Work Cited page on a new page
  • Put your Work Cited page in alphabetical order
  • Italicize the titles of books, journals, periodicals
  • Put quotation marks around the title of articles, poems, short stories, essays
  • Indent the second line of all entries on Work Cited page
